What is the shelf life of SAY-BO products?
Since we avoid harsh synthetic preservatives, our tallow balms typically have a shelf life of 12-16 months. To keep your SAY-BO products fresh, store them in a cool, dry place and avoid getting water inside the jar.
Routine & Usage
In what order should I apply my SAY-BO products?
Tallow is a powerful emollient and occlusive, meaning it locks moisture in.
1. Cleanse your skin thoroughly.
2. Apply water, water-based mists, or serums. (Suggested for maximum moisturization, but not required)
3. Warm a pea-sized amount of SAY-BO balm between your fingertips and gently press it into your skin as the final sealing step.
Will tallow-based skincare clog my pores?
Surprisingly, no! Grass-fed tallow is generally considered non-comedogenic. Because it mimics the oils your skin naturally produces, it helps to balance your skin's oil production rather than sitting on top of the skin and causing breakouts.
Does SAY-BO smell like animal fat?
Not at all. We use a purified rendering process that removes the "beefy" scent. The result is a clean, neutral base that we either leave unscented or lightly infuse with natural essential oils.
Is SAY-BO safe for acne-prone skin?
Yes. Tallow contains antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that can actually help soothe angry, acne-prone skin while providing the hydration it needs to heal.

My balm changed texture or melted in the mail—is it ruined?
Not at all! Because SAY-BO uses natural fats without synthetic stabilizers, the texture can change with the temperature. If it melts, just pop it in the fridge for 20 minutes. If it's "grainy," that's just the healthy fats solidifying at different rates; they will melt instantly upon contact with your skin.
